Assortment Type

Assortment type is the kind of assortment available in the enterprise. Modus system distinguishes three types of the assortment division:

Material or article – it is a simple assortment delivered by the external costumer or stock-in-trade or material necessary for the production.
Product – it is a complex assortment, for which it is required to define a formula, and also parameters that describe the production process.
Services – it is an assortment, where inventory balances are not registered.
Pipe - is simple assortment supplied by an external supplier or commercial goods or raw materials necessary for the production, with defined unit of measure (mb)
Sheet - is simple assortment supplied by an external supplier or commercial goods or raw materials necessary for the production, with defined unit of measure (m2)

Such a division gives opportunity for an easy and quick localization of the assortment; it enables to filter a perticular type of assortment with its elements among thousands of others.
Additional function that enables for the assortment localization is warehouse groups, to which you can allocate the assortment. Groups can be defined single-handedly, and then used in created groups as trees or columns on the assortment list. You can find more information related to this topic here.

Assortment, which was exploited (e.g. was produced) has is kept in the system history and there is no possibility of canceling it. When the assortment is not needed anymore, it is necessary to sign it as inactive.

Products

System operates the production of a very diversified assortment. It enables for a number of options. One of them is generating products, which are the elements of formulas (half-finished products). There is an option of producing articles as part of the group of products consisting of families, composed of concrete elements. In the case of multi-option assortment the system enables you for defining products at the stage of inserting orders. On the product template (of the general formula) unique articles (variants) are created that are based on the specific set of ingredients. Modus System allows you for the registry of orders concerning a set of products. It also enables you for automatically generating product serial numbers.

New product implementation to the assortment:

From the module level Warehouse choose the submodule Assortment.
Using the function Add a creator of new assortment is activated.

On the assortment list there are products that form templates. On the basis of them the variants are created. The whole list of assortment with the product variants is located in Inventory balance.

Product pricing groups

Pricing groups - are the groups of the prices, which can be labeled on the particular product, depending on the materials from which it was made, which can affect the price.

In the system there is an option of defining pricing groups for the virtual models of products. If they will be created for the model, e.g. from the 3.group, then it could be sold at three different prices depending on the materials used in the production process. Additionally, materials can be assigned to the pricing groups. It allows you for defining the price of the final product costs. When the price of the sale has been already assigned, the program automatically gives you the price. If it is done for the first time, the person in charge has to define it. The price can be modified at any time.

Materials

The ready element supplied by the external supplier (in contradiction to the PRODUCT that is not produced on the premises). It can be simultaneously a COMMERCIAL GOOD, if it is designed for the sale.

Material can also be the item, that was earlier processed (it is a semi-finished product), which will undergo processing at the time of the production.

Addition of the new material to the assortment takes place in the same way as the addition of the new assortment.

Production group of materials

Group of materials that have a particular importance in the process of defining PRODUCTS FORMULAS; the materials production group can serve as the component. VIRTUAL FORMULA of the product. In defining the materials production group, you assign materials that in the final product have the same usage but the differ according to colour, materials from which they were made, etc.) Specification of the materials groups and assignment of the materials have influence on the products formula definition, because in the formula you cannot locate the concrete material but you can make the production group of materials. How to ascribe the material to the materials production group?

Assignment of the material to the specific materials production group can be defined at the time of creating the assortment index card and there is no possibility of changing this group later

All the materials belonging to the specific materials production group should have the same measure unit as the particular group

When the variant product with the specific formula was already ordered or made you can not add a new component to it from the materials production group.

Pricing groups of materials

Materials are allocated to the pricing groups of materials. By using a specific material in the production, the list price is shown from the particular pricing group. The final decision is made by the user.

Establishing pricing groups of materials simplifies the product's price specification. It also enables you for setting the terms of product's prices definition. Such solution allows you for a quick defining of the final product price.

How to create pricing groups for the materials production group?

From the module „Technologies” choose „Materials production groups”.
By clicking „Add„ the window „Edition of materials production group” appears.
After choosing the checkbox, the tab „Pricing groups” appears.
By selecting „Add„, the window is shown in which you should choose the range of pricing groups.

Services

The example of service is the labour cost, that is included in the product formula.

Services can also constitute the commercial or non-commercial range of goods, which can be added to the products' formulas. They can serve as the next component to establish the product price. Service assortment is not registered in inventory balances, only the prime costs are defined.

Pipes

The pipe is an assortment with defined unit of measure defined in length (mb). It is a commercial assortment also used in the production. More information here

Print

Additional functions

Variants tab

The tab gives you information about the variants of the particular assortment that were ordered. From this level you can edit the assortment in the index card.
