Under the concept of pipes we understand the type of assortment that is supported both in running meters and in pieces (eg. strips, rods) used in production and for commercial purposes. There are several ways to add a pipe to the Modus system. The system records two types of pipes: primary and secondary. Primary pipe occurs in meters, scoundary in pieces and has a definite measure of length in millimeters.
Admission of pipes to the warehouse occurs simultaneously in two units of measure where length in meters is a sum of lengths of all pieces. The system also records each piece of a given length independently.
To add pipe in the warehouse:
In module Warehouse choose Supplies
Click on Add and choose the type of wharehouse admission document
Select (or add new) contractor from which admission occurs
Fill the new document window with data you see fit
Select existing primary pipe or add new one
Select mesure unit of selected pipe and enter its price
On the list on the left click on Add
Select mesure unit and enter length of a single piece
Enter number of admitting pieces
Click on Approve and add next (repeat)
After adding all secondary pipes click on Cancel and approve the document

When adding a new primary pipe you need to enter his net and gross weight. Thanks to this, by adding secondary pipes system will calculate their mass.
Through this operation, in the assortment module assortment card will be created for the primary pipe and in the Stock module additionally appear assortment cards for secondary pipe.
Assortment card for the secondary pipe can also be created manually without adding it to the warehouse. To accomplish this:
In Warehouse module choose Assortment
Select pipe you want to create the secondary pipes
Click on Pieces tab
Click on Add
Select measure unit and enter its length
Click on Approve and add next
The code of the new assortment is created based on the name of the primary pipe and the length of the pipe expressed in millimeters
Aditional option for adding a pipe is to import it from Excel. To do that:
In Warehouse module choose Stock
Click on View
Select Import pipe/sheet
Choose Excel file from which the import will be conducted
Pair colums from Modus with Excel
Click Import
To import a pipe from Excel, this pipe has to have created an assortment card of primary pipe
