It allows you for a smooth movement between the modules of the program. Icons symbolize the modules.

Toolbar

It constitutes a basis for communication between a user and the program. It enables you for performing specific operations. Icons symbolize the respective tools.

Toolbars that belong to the basic elements of the graphic user's interface facilitate the use of program. In the Modus program they are located in four different places. The main toolbar, appropriate for every module, is displayed below the top status bar. Moreover, every details panel has its own bar that comprises a set of tools. Every window of the list type has its own set of tools located on the bar below its title. Sometimes, in the windows of the form type, there are tabs that are equipped with the necessary tools. Enumerated types of toolbars are different according to a layout and a type of icons. But their handling is the same in each case. Description of the usage is presented on the example of the main bar of the module. It is built from the series of icons, that symbolize different operations.

There, you can differentiate several groups of buttons. Usually, there are three groups. First group that is located on the left side of the page comprises the tools necessary for working with module, such as: add, edit, clone, or delete a listing. Second group includes a set of additional operations, such as: print, confirm, value, stock-taking, etc. The third group that is located on the right side of the toolbar in every module, consists of two tools: a list and a view. As mentioned before, each icon stands for a different operation. In order to perform an operation, e.g: Add, it is necessary to press the button „Confirm”. Consequently, the entered data will be saved in the w base. If you use a button Delete, the data will not be saved.

Operations preformed in the program can be divided into two types:

To facilitate handling of the program, under each symbol there is a name of its function. Moreover, after selecting a particular icon, a short description of its functioning is displayed. It is an additional simplification in the use of tools.

Standard operations

In the toolbar, a user can see icon, to which specific operations are ascribed. The core functions that are in most modules and in card indexes consist of:

Functions that are on the left side of the toolbar:

Add

A tool of adding is also available in modules: Contractors, Orders (From receivers, To suppliers), Warehouse (Inventory balances, Deliveries, Releases, Assortment), Sales (Documents), Logistics (Planning, Fleet vehicles, Routes), Finances (Settling of accounts, Documents, Foreign currencies, C/B Registries)

Furthermore, this operation is available also in some panels that include additional information in modules, such as: Warehouses (Assortment), Logistics (Planning), Finances (Settlement of accounts, Foreign currencies, C/B Registries)

It occurs also in the main menu, in the function group: Firm, Index cards. A tool Add occurs also in the windows of the list type that are appropriate for the particular modules and display lists or forms. This tool serves for creation of new records and listings in the data base. After selecting the icon, the window is displayed, where a specific element should be chosen from the list, choose one of the options or fill in the values in appropriate fields. After completing the values, it is necessary to confirm them in order to add a listing to the base. Furthermore, this command is available in the context menu, (after clicking on right mouse button).

Edit

The second set of the standard tools in the Modus program is a function Edit. Its localization in respective windows of the program is always the same. It is the next button after the adding tool, unless it does not exist in the specific bar. This tool allows for modification of the records in the data base - the window, where you should modify specific data is displayed. Remember about confirmation of the changes.

To make changes in the record, choose it from the list and use the icon Edit or double click on the chosen record.

Edition of documents is possible only if they are not confirmed.

Clone

Another standard tool is Clone. Most often it is on the toolbar of the Edition of the record. It allows for copying and adding the listing with identical values, like the previously selected. Running it displays the same window like the tool Add. The user can make changes of the chosen values. However, in some cases it has got restricted possibilities of modification. some values cannot be changed. Then, a creation of a new listing is necessary - Add. Remember to confirm the operation. Only then, a new listing will be added to the base.

Cloning can be also performed by using the context menu. To do it, right-click on the record that you want to clone and choose „Clone a record”

Delete

The tool Delete has an opposite function of Add. It is located on the left side of the toolbar. It allows for deleting outdated, or incorrect listings and items on the lists. Before deleting a record from the base, the program asks the user for confirmation of an operation. The aim is to save the data from an accidental canceling.

This function is also available from the context program. ++++ Screen 7: Standard operation Delete| Ekran 7: Operacja standardowa Usuń ++++

Deletion of documents is possible only if they are not related with other documents.

Printing of a document and a list

In the program, there are two common tools that allow for printing documents: Print a document and Print a List. There are other two tools, that are described in the non-standard operations, because they are adequate only for single modules. The operation of document's printing and the list proceed almost identically. However, when the user is going to print the document, after choosing the item from the list and after pressing the icon Print, a preview of the printout is displayed. The program will automatically entitle the printout on the basis of the chosen document's type.

In case of printing the list, there is possibility of entitling it, or including the information related with the main data in the printout. When the user is going to print out the list, the program will display a window, that allows for entering adequate values. By using the list in the details panel (that consists only the information related with the data from the main list) a person works on the program can only entitle the printout.

It is not necessary to enter the title, in order to go to the preview window. If only information of relations is printed out, then the program automatically gives the list a title. By clicking on the button „Confirm”, a preview window of printout is displayed, that gives the user the same set of tools, just as in the case of the Print procedure.

If the details panel is unrolled, then during the printing of the main window's list, the query about printing out the relations (the data from the „Details” panel) will appear.

Printing out of a document, an items list, a report, or a serial number has got the same set of preview tools in each case. they include:

It also has additional options, such as:
