A basis purchase price is the attribute of the assortment (on the assortment's card, in the tab Trade data) and has in the system the following functions:
it allows you for
initial (estimated) valuation of the release of assortment, a so called prime cost. Every document of the warehouse release reduces the balances and value of the warehouse. As long as the document of the warehouse release is in the draft, the value such a document is generated on the grounds of the basis purchase price of the assortment, included in the specification,
it is used to calculate the current margin in the records of the purchase sales prices,
it is the basis for calculating sales prices that are automatically updated,
in case of materials used for production, it is used for estimating values of the ordered products.
Basis purchase price can be:
a purchase price from the last batch,
the highest purchase price among the batches available in the warehouse,
the lowest purchase price among the batches available in the warehouse,
The choice is made by defining the parameters of warehouses.
Change of the value of the basis purchase price is made automatically, along with:
a receipt of another batch with a different purchase price,

after issuing a purchase invoice for the specific external receipt document.
