Types of production cells

Types of production cells are grouping the production cell of the same type. By defining the technology for each stage there is indication of the cell type on which it will be carried out.

When defining the type of production cell you should determine which group of employees will carry out the stages performed in this cell. This is important because here it will be determined how to assign employees to production order.

In order to add new cell type:

  1. In module Technology choose Types of production cells
  2. Click on Add
  3. Fill out New cell type card

Within a given type, you can define any number of cells, but always one of them is default. By planning the production system will automatically schedule its implementation in the default cell. The attempt to realize production at a production terminal on a different cell than planned will fail. The message 'lack of production stages compatible with a group of employee [1112]'will be displayed.

At any time you can check on which cell the realization of production was planned. You can do this in module Production/Planning/Production process tab. If production is to be carried out on a different cell than planned the slot should be changed in production schedule by using the tool Change production cell.
