Assortment addition

In order to add a new material:

1. In the module Warehouse choose Assortment.
2. In the box Assortment type click on Raw material or product.
3. define (in the warehouse group these parameters can not be edited from the level assortment's cards!):
   • if the material is not included in the warehouse, it is in a form of packages or a consummables
   • if the material belongs to the materials production group
   • warehouse group
   • basic measure unit (if the materials production group was chosen, then the unit will be applied automatically)
   • define the features of the assortment.
4. Complete details of the assortment available in the following tabs:

This tab is used to define the following assortment parameters:

• Warehouse group
• Production Group
• Storage place - in case of products, the storage place defines in which warehouse should the finished product appear after the production process. In case of materials, the information is used by the function Deliver materials. This function generates a document by transferring materials needed for the order realization from the storage place to the appropriate manufacturing plant. For every assortment the program checks which warehouse was chosen as the storage place. From this storage materials are shifted to the manufacturing plant (under condition that they are available in the storage place). You can find more information about this function here.
• Bar code - is designated for e-book readers. The aim is to automatically read the information.
• Catalog number.
• Trade number.
• PKWiU (Polish classification of products and services).
• Features of the assortment.
• CN code- tariff code necessary for documents related to intrastat.
• Country of origin - country symbol from which the goods are imported.
• Control of the production quality.

This tab was created to define trade parameters of the assortment:

• Assortment is offered for sale - to resign from this option means, that during creating documents assortment ceases to be visible on the list of the trade assortment.
• Minimal profit margin (count prices)
• Basic price of purchase ( basic price precicion of the sale price is dependent on the defined precision of the sale prices. - Card indexes/Configuration/Global settings/Warehouse/Settings)
• VAT rate - defining of the assortment VAT rate.
• Net weight - defining of the assortment net weight. This information is used during the creation of documents. Intrastat
• gross weight - defining of the assortment gross weight. This information is used during the creation of documents Intrastat
• Minimal state of inventory balance
• Maximal state
• Sell for
• difficult to get

The tab is used to determine the price/prices of the assortment sale. In order to determine many prices for the assortment, the price lists should be earlier defined. Inserted prices will be used during the documents creation. After choosing the particular price list, the earlier dedermined price will appear on the document.

In case of the products made in different variants (definable products at the stage of ordering) actualization of the sale price on the virtual product (on the template) does not actualize the price variants. Modus does not offer such automated technology, because in most cases sales prices of praticular variants are different, because of different materials used in the production. In every company different algorisms are used. The solution can be found in price groups, but if the sales prices are not used, you have to actualize them in the tab Variants on the assortment list or from the level Inventory balances (raw state must be switched on).

The sales price can be defined in two ways:

• First option:
  1. In module Warehouse choose Assortment.
  2. Choose assortment, for which you want to define the sales price.
  3. In the tab prices choose the price list, for which you want to define the price.
  4. Click Edit
  5. Insert the sales price. Program will automatically calculate margins, which can be later edited.

• Second option:
  1. In module Warehouse choose Assortment.
  2. Choose assortment, for which you want to define the sales price.
  3. Click Edit
  4. go to the bookmark Prices
  5. Choose the price list for which you want to determine the price.
  6. Click Edit
  7. Insert the sales price. Program will automatically calculate margins, which can be later edited.

The sales price of the product that constitutes the variant can be determined:

1. In module Warehouse choose Assortment.
2. Choose assortment, for which you want to define the sales price.
3. In the tab Variants choose the variant for which you want to determine the price.
4. Go to the tab Prices
5. WChoose assortment, for which you want to define the sales price.
6. Click Edit
7. Insert the sales price. Program will automatically calculate margins, which can be later edited.

It includes description and notes about the assortment. Description box applies to products made as the variant of particular assortment. Therefore the general assortment card index is available from the level Warehouse/Assortment and will not include the description. But the card index of the particular copy available from the level Warehouse/Balances will include information about the type of raw materials from which the assortment variant was produced. The card index of the variant is formed at the moment of placing an order. At this time also the description is generated.

Modus enables assigning many suppliers to the every assortment and defining a default supplier, whose details will be automatically inserted during the order generating. The assortment card enables for insertion of additional information and parameters correlated with the material supply from the particular supplier, such as:

• Supplier's assortment code
• Supplier's bar code
• unit of measurement used during orders
• the price of order
• minimal quantity of order
• waiting time for the supply realization
• price of the purchase
• contact person

Supplier can be assigned to the assortment by creating a new index card or editing the existing one. To do it:

1. In module Warehouse choose Assortment.
2. Click Add and fill in the boxes of the new assortment's Creator or choose assortment and click Edit.
3. On the card Assortment's edition go to the tab Suppliers.
4. Click Add.
5. Choose the contractor, who is the supplier of the particular assortment.
6. Complete necessary data.

In order to add the product:

1. In module Warehouse choose Assortment.
2. In the box assortment type select Product.
3. Define the family and element if the products are manufactured within families and elements
4. Define theWarehouse group
5. Complete details regarding assortment which are available in the following tabs (as with the material)
6. Save the index card by choosing Confirm
7. Go to the tab Formulas and define the product formula.

Program enables you for the assortment's edition. To do it you have to choose the particular element and click on the icon „Edit”. It will result in the opening of the Assortment's edition form. In this form you can change details related to the assortment, for example the name, code bar, warehouse group, catalog number .. etc.

Inactive assortment

The assortment, which is neither produced nor offered can be blocked by choosing an option Inactive assortment. All the history related to the assortment will be preserved but it will be not visible in the inventory balances. It will be not possible to make an order for this type of assortment.

The program has the possibility of the assortment's edition by the multiple marking. The option allows for the edition of many assortments simultaneously.

In order to make an edition by multiple marking:

1. In the module Warehouse choose Assortment
2. Choose particular products or materials by holding the Ctrl key. In order to mark additional positions mark the first position, and then, by holding the Shift key mark the last position.
3. Click Edit.
4. Move to the tab, where data is located which you want to edit.
5. Select the checkbox, and change it next to the position that you intend to edit. Insert new data.
