Virtual formula

In order to create a virtual formula:

  1. In the module Warehouse choose Assortment,
  2. Select a product, for which you want to create a formula.
  3. In the panel details Click on the icon Add.
  4. The window with the list of defined formulas will display. If the defining formula is similar to the already existing one, it should be selected from the list. Click on Choose. The system will create a copy, that should be given a new name and components, standards, or waste can be alternatively edited. If you want to create a new formula, click on Add.
  5. In case of defining more than one production technology, the window of the production technology choice will open. Select a technology and and click on Choose.
  6. Fill in the card New formula/Edition of the formula
  7. Next, by using the button Add, you can add the formula's components by choosing a raw material or materials' group. Remember, that if you decide on the formula consisting of groups of materials, you have an option of choosing a particular raw material on the stage of placing an order.
  8. After choosing the raw material/groups of raw materials, the window of a new formula's component /edition of a formula's component will open.

If the formula's component comes from the production group, you have to insert the purpose of this component.

You can also give the quantity which will be used, as well as the stage of production, when the component will be needed. For the materials groups you can additionally choose a default material and decide if during the stage of placing an order, the pricing group of the material should be displayed.

If the product is already ordered or made with according to a specific formula, there is no possibility of adding a new component from the production group of materials.
A change of formula can be made in the following way:
  1. Clone the old formula,
  2. Add new components to the new one,
  3. Select the old formula as inactive, in order not to be visible by the system.

From the version 2.2 formulas are strictly related to the product. They can be created at the time of defining a technology with the help of the technology creator and not correlated with any of the products. In the subsequent stage, during defining index cards of the assortment, they can be attached to the products.

Virtual compositions (formulas) with the mathematical formulas:

From version 2.2 in the product's formula, quantities of particular materials do not be defined by the fixed value. You can describe them as variables, and from them you can create formulas, according to which the demand will be calculated. Values that should be used as variables, will be specified each time during placing an order.

As a result of defining such formula of the product, instead of defining the wear of a material on the basis of, e.g. two square meters, it is enough to define that the quantity of material will be defined with the formula a*b (length, width). Next, during the order entry after choosing the product and the formula, the additional window will display, where you have to give appropriate values that will be które maja zostać podstawione za a i b (np 1 i 2).

In order to define this formula:

  1. In the module Warehouse choose Assortment,
  2. Choose the product for which you want to define the formula,
  3. Go to the tab Formulas,
  4. Click on Add,
  5. The window Formulas will display with the list of already existing formulas (specified, e.g. at the time of defining the production technology). You can add one of them or add a new one, by clicking on Add.
  6. In the window new formula/edition of formula fill in the name of formula and click on Add in order to add a material or a group of materials
  7. Choose a material which you want to add to the formula,
  8. In the window new formula's component/edition of the formula's component instead of specifying the material's use, click on Use the mathematical formula, in order to choose the formula from the lists of mathematical formulas.
  9. Click on Variables and specify what variables will be used in the formula, e.g a - length, b - width,
  10. Click on Add,
  11. Insert the mathematical formula. After confirmation it will appear on the list,
  12. After clicking on Choose, the formula will appear in the field Quantity,
  13. Click on Confirm,
  14. Add the subsequent component or Confirm the formula,
  15. Confirmed formula will appear on the list of formulas and will be ascribed to this product,
  16. Click Delete in order to click off the formulas' list,

Dynamic formula with a chart of the material consumption:

Concerning a dynamic formula, instead of entering values during placing an order, you can define the charts of symbols that will constitute the specific consumptions of materials. In case of clothing you can, e.g. create the size charts, where the specific symbols will constitute different consumptions of fabric. Depending on the chosen size symbol, during placing an order, the appropriate demand for the fabric will be generated.

In order to define the consumption charts:

  1. In the module Technologies choose Technologies,
  2. On the technology tree unroll a branch Dynamic formulas,
  3. select a branch Variables and click on Add,
  4. Enter a variable, that subsequently you will use in the mathematical formula and click on Confirm,
  5. Select a branch Mathematical formulas and click on Add,
  6. Enter a variable, that you defined earlier and click on Confirm,
  7. Select a branch Charts and click on Add,
  8. Fill in the card New chart,

  6. In the new formula window, enter the formula and click on Add in order to add a new material a group of materials
  7. Choose a material for which you want to add to the formula,
  8. In the new formula's component window, instead of defining the material consumption, click on Use the mathematical formula,
  9. Choose an earlier defined mathematical formula,
  10. After clicking on Choose, the formula will appear in the field Quantity,
  11. Click on Confirm,
  12. Click Insert the consumption charts,
  13. Choose Generate the consumption charts
  14. Click on Edit on the selected symbol (e.g. size). Define the material consumption.
  15. Add another component or Confirm the formula
  16. Confirmed formula will appear on the list of formulas and will be assigned to this product
  17. Click on Delete to leave the list of formulas

Production standards

In defining the product's formula, you can also specify standard time of completion of respective stages and the piece rate. On the basis of these parameters you can later settle accounts for your employees for results of their work.

Waste

Modus system makes it possible to create formulas for products, which manufacturing associates with producing waste. After defining the waste, the ready-made product with waste is received in the warehouse. In order to add the waste to the formula:

  1. In the edition window of the formula go to the tab Waste.
  2. Click on Add and from the assortment list choose the one which is a waste ( as a result of production).
  3. Define the Quantity of waste that is made.
