Warehouses

There are three default warehouses in the Modus system:

• the main warehouse,
• the production warehouse,
• the parts warehouse (relates to the EAM/CMMS modules).

The Modus allows you for the creation of additional warehouses. For this purpose:

1. From the side menu choose Warehouse,
2. Next, click on Warehouses.
3. Click on Add.

Warehouse options - the warehouse's name

Signature - the warehouse symbol that is used during the generating of the documents' numbers
(e.g. PR - production » PZ 00001/PR/2014)

Production warehouse - the warehouse, where the production takes place.

Loading bay - this option relates to the module Transport, where you can find a Loading option that generates the goods issued document for transport. The issue is generated from the warehouse that is selected as the loading bay. In case of selecting few warehouses as loading bays, on the consignment note you can choose the loading bay, from which the release of assortment should take place.

Default warehouse for orders from customers - if the option is selected, then each new order from the customer will be registered in this warehouse.

Parts warehouse - is designed for the registry of assortment comprised of the machines and devices' wear parts. This warehouse is related to the module Maintenance. There is possibility to restrict the access to this module for users who do not have such privilege.

Local warehouse - gives the option for choosing the warehouses that are situated in one localization. These storehouses are not expected for the delivery realization. During the warehouse transferring between two local warehouses, the WT- document is issued and at the same time the WT+ note appears in the other warehouse. The change of inventory balance is made in both warehouses.

Transfers - the option enables you for defining a default warehouse, which will be shown on the document of the warehouse transfer issued in a particular warehouse. For example, if the production warehouse transfers will be arranged as the main warehouse then, when you issue the transfer note, the main warehouse will be chosen as the target warehouse. ++++ Screen: Setting of the default warehouse responsible for transfers| ++++ ++++ Screen: Default warehouse used in transferring| ++++

Basis purchase price - in the Modus system the stock is assessed according to the actual purchase prices. Every assortment's supply defines the quantity and the unit price of the purchase. At the same time, every expenditure of the assortment is evaluated by the system according to the settings. However, the specification of the system determines some simplifications related to the evaluation of the warehouse expenditure documents located in the draft - to evaluate the expenditure, the basis purchase price is used. The confirmation of the release document results in the assortment's expenditure and depletion of the inventory balance.

The program enables you to precisely define the places in warehouses (such as a shelf or a bookcase) that are located in the particular warehouse.
