Groups of products (wersja 2.2)

In this module we specify the types of the produced assortment. For every group you can specify basic production parameters, which have significant influence on the system functioning and production technology.
If several groups of products will be specified, there is an option to show them on the interface during the order making. Before choosing the ordered product it is necessary to select the group of products to which the product belongs. By using functionality Planning and Orders planning you can see that products from specific groups of products are planned separately.

In order to change the groups of products shown in the production schedule, it is necessary to close the window and open it again and choose the fitting groups of products, e.g.:

1. Production/Planning/Hard furniture - close the window
2. click on Production/Planning/Upholstered furniture

In order to specify a new group of products you have to:

  1. In module Technologies choose Groups of products
  2. Click on Add
  3. Complete the card New group of products

A new group of products can be also created by using production technology creator
During the product specification you have to specify to which group of products it should belong. the chosen group can not be changed later.

Functions

Description

For the products which are specified at the stage of ordering, the system can automatcally generate the variant description. Depending on the description configuration, such information may appear:

  • about the materials chosen in the production of a particular product variant (the choice is made during the order placing)
  • about the value of variables given during the input of order, which are used during the calculation of demand.
  • about additional parameters of the product chosen during the order setting (it relates to the products with the wear and tear chart)

By clicking on the function Description, all the descriptions of products are actualized. It is significant, if the codes or material names changed. In order to create descriptions of products:

  2. from menu Technologies choose Groups of products
  3. choose the group of products, for which you want to generate descriptions.
  4. Click on Descriptions.

Depending on the program configuration, the code or the material name can be included in the description at the time of the order generating. In order of the configuration of the product description:

  1. From menu Index cards choose Configuration, and next Global settings
  2. From the sidebar menu, the Global Configuration system, choose Production, and next Product variants.
  3. Choose the options according to which Descriptions should be generated.

Lots coincidence

The aim of this function is to control the coincidence of the serial number of the released product generated during the order placing. It prevents form the situation, when the product with a particular serial number is released to the other order.

This function relates to all the products of the specific group and is switched on by default. Switching off the function jest irreversible.

If the items are mass-produced and they do not vary from each other, this function can be switched off. This will enable for the reservation and the product release to order.

In order to switch off the control of the lots coincidence:

  1. in module Technologies choose Groups of products
  2. select the group for which you want to switch off the control of the lots coincidence
  3. click on Lots coincidence
  4. confirm the switching off by clicking on Yes

Additional information - details panel

Production technologies bar

This bar supplies information about already existing production technologies and enables defining of new technologies for the chosen group of products.

In order to add a new technology:

  1. In module Technologies choose Group of products
  2. In details panel - Production technologies, click on Add
  3. Choose the group of products
  4. Complete the card Production technology edition

Assembling technology

It is a system of technology that does not have any stages. It can not be modified or deleted. It was added in order to enable calculation of demand for the product materials which were created on the basis of assembling process. Demand for the materials refers to ordered products that belong to the group Simple product, which are based on the formula - Assembling technology. It is calculated on the grounds of the ordered products number reduced by the number of produced and reserved items.
