Card - Edition of formula

The Card of product's formula serves for defining:

• components (ingredients)/materials necessary for the process of production
• standards related to the proceeding of production process
• potential waste that is made during production that should be received in the warehouse together with the ready-made product

In defining the formula, specify also the quantities used in the process of production.

Formula for quantities - a default value 1 means that from the defined list of components, as a result of production process, one unit of product will be made. This value should be changed, e.g. in situation when:

• from one unit of material, several units of product are made - in such a case, in the field Formula for Quantity you have to enter how many units of product are made as a result of production process
• for one unit of product the use of material is very little, e.g. 0,00001 - in such a case you have to define a formula for the quantity 10000, and in the use of material enter 0,1.

The tab gives you the information about components/ingredients needed for the process of production of the specific product. It also enables you to edit the list of these components.

On the list of components you can find:

• specific materials used in the process of production
• production groups of materials. In such a case, a concrete material of the variant will be chosen at the stage of entering the order from the receiver - it relates only to the products that are defined at the stage of ordering.

In order to add a new component:

1. Click on Add
2. Choose a component:
   • a material
   • a production groups of materials (available for formulas created on the basis of production technologies that apply to products defined at the stage of ordering)

1. Fill in the card Edition of the formula's ingredient

On this tab you can see a list of the production technology stages. For each of the stage you can specify:

• a standard time that is needed for the realization of the stage (concerning the product)
• a piece rate for realization of the chosen stage
• a number of actions registered on a terminal (for this product).

To define the standards:

1. select the stage for which the standards have to be defined
2. click on Edit
3. fill in the Production standards card

The system enables you for updating piece rates by using the specific coefficient. Therefore, if the need arise, you do not have to change the rate of the specific operation manually in the formula of each product.

In the menu INDEX CARDS→PRODUCTION→TECHNOLOGICAL OPERATIONS, after edition of the specific operation, you can perform the update of piece rates by using a concrete coefficient.

If in the window of the technological operation edition this option will be selected, then after confirmation of changes, all the piece rates will be updated according to the following mathematical formula:

To update the piece rate:

1. from the menu Index Cards choose Production, and next Technological operations.
2. choose the operation, in which you want to update a piece rate, that is located in the product's formulas.
3. Click on Edit.
4. Select the option Update the time rates according to a coefficient and enter the coeffcient.

If, as a result of the production process the waste is made that will be later used (it should be placed in the warehouse), after completion of production it should be added to the tab Waste.

To add the waste:

1. In the module click on Add,
2. On the assortment list select a component/ingredient that is a waste,
3. Define the quantity of waste that is produced as a result of production process.
